Who We Are

Our Vision

Pinewood Christian Academy (PCA) prepares every student to know and understand the world in which they live and evaluate all ideas in the light of Scripture so that they can participate in fulfilling the cultural mandate.

Our Mission

Pinewood Christian Academy partners with the Christian family to educate covenant children to be world-changers through a rigorous, Christ-centered, Biblically-based school program with excellence in academics, athletics, fine arts, and technology.

Our Covenant

We are what is called a covenant school. This means that we partner with Christian parents to educate their covenant children, according to Deuteronomy 6:7. For close to 30 years, Pinewood Christian Academy has developed an authentically Christian educational program, the main purpose of which is to facilitate a real relationship with Jesus Christ through a true understanding of the Gospel. To be in harmony with this purpose, families who send their children to PCA should desire both an intimate knowledge of Christ and an excellent education for their children.

Foundational Principles

1. We believe that all children are created in the image of God and are worthy of dignity and respect.
2. We strive to provide an excellent education in an environment that emphasizes both compassion and responsibility.
3. We endeavor to prepare every student to know and understand the world in which they live, evaluate all ideas in the light of Scripture, and fulfill the cultural mandate.
4. We affirm that the primary responsibility for the upbringing of children belongs to parents.

A Biblical Worldview

A worldview represents our most fundamental beliefs and assumptions about the universe we inhabit. It determines how we answer the “big questions” of life: who am I, where did I come from, why am I here, what is my purpose in life, and what happens after I die? As Christians we need to not only understand what it means to have a Biblical worldview, but also why we should hold fast to that worldview and apply it to all of life.

Teachers, staff, and administrators are committed to execute our mission to educate world-changers for Christ. We place God and His Word at the center of all we do; from curricula to lesson plans, all subjects at Pinewood are taught from a Biblical worldview.

In addition, all students participate in Bible classes in which they study the stories and themes of Scripture, as well as memorize key concepts and passages to under-gird their growing faith.  All students attend a weekly chapel services where they experience corporate worship and learn to apply their beliefs to everyday life.
