Middle School

Middle School Education

Middle school students at our school are beginning to take ownership of their learning and are guided to develop habits that set them up for success in high school and beyond. They are striving to learn to advocate for themselves through meaningful interactions with teachers. Our teachers foster understanding by asking thought-provoking questions that encourage critical thinking. Through Socratic teaching and open discussions, students grow into curious, confident, and life-long learners. Students are encouraged to embrace challenges and learn from failures, striving to give their best work for God’s glory rather than for mere performance.

Academics

English Language Arts

Our middle school English program develops strong readers, thinkers, and writers by combining timeless literature with a biblical worldview. Students explore classic novels that not only engage the imagination but also provide opportunities to discuss values, character, and faith in context.

Writing instruction follows the Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW) approach, helping students organize their thoughts, craft clear arguments, and express ideas with confidence and creativity.

Math

Our math program helps students see God’s order in creation while building strong problem-solving skills. Students develop critical thinking and perseverance through engaging lessons and real-world problems.

Advanced: Challenges students with deeper problem-solving and algebraic thinking.

Average: Builds confidence and mastery of core concepts at a steady pace.

Students grow in both math and character, learning diligence, patience, and integrity as they explore God’s orderly world.

History

Discover how God has shaped the world! We’ll explore people, events, and civilizations, think critically about history, and learn lessons we can apply to our lives today—all while meeting Florida standards.

Science

Students explore the living world and the environment through hands-on experiments and real-world investigations. Topics include cells, ecosystems, genetics, conservation, and sustainability.

Through a biblical worldview, students learn to see God’s design in creation, understand humanity’s responsibility to care for His world, and develop critical thinking skills to explore and steward the natural world.

Bible

Students will explore God’s story from Creation to the early Church, seeing His covenant faithfulness and plan of redemption unfold. Through the lives of key biblical figures and God’s Word, they will discover how all Scripture points to Jesus Christ. Discussions, stories, and reflection will help students apply these truths to their own lives and grow as faithful disciples.
