Pinewood Christian Academy is a family of learners, all striving to become world- changers for Christ. Our students enjoy fellowship and friendship through many opportunities to sharpen one another both in and out of the classroom. Our focus
on the growth and development of the whole person means that we value helping our students acquire the discipline necessary to excel academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally. Pinewood Christian Academy is the place for students
to explore their talents and gifts and use them for God’s glory!

intentional spiritual interactions

To execute our mission to "educate world-changers for Christ," we place God and His Word
at the center of all we do; f
rom curricula to lesson plans, all subjects at Pinewood are taught from a Biblical worldview.

In addition, all students participate in Bible classes in which they study the stories and themes of Scripture, as well as memorize key concepts and passages to under-gird their growing faith.

Lastly, students attend a weekly chapel services where they experience corporate worship and learn to apply their beliefs to everyday life.

junior high bible

Our 7th and 8th grade students take Bible with our Head of School, Mr. Borko.

Seventh graders learn the basics of Covenant Theology as they see God's plan unfold through His people from Genesis to Revelation. They learn that they are created in God's image and, as such, have unique roles to play in the building of His kingdom.

Eighth graders learn the basics of Christian apologetics through the Lightbearers curriculum from Summit Ministries. They learn how to own their faith and defend it in a variety of areas including theology, morality, biology, and politics.

Athletics

safety PATROL

Students in 5th-8th grades have the opportunity to develop leadership skills by being part of our Safety Patrol. They arrive early and leave late. They are the first smiling faces students see every morning, and the last they see as they leave in the afternoon. They escort every PreK student to his/her classroom, ensuring their safety and security. They model the true spirit of Christian service to all students at PCA.
